Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-24
PlotMySeats (“we”) is operated by [Operator legal name], individual entrepreneur, [Registered address], Kazakhstan. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have, including your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (“CCPA”). Contact: support@plotmyseats.com.
What we collect
| Category (CCPA) | What it is | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Your email address, if you sign in or buy a pass | You |
| Customer records | Guest names, groups, tags, meal choices, notes and room layouts you enter | You |
| Commercial information | Purchases: transaction id, amount, currency (card details stay with Paddle) | Paddle |
| Internet activity | Pages and features used, device and browser details, the campaign that brought you here | Your browser |
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA. Guest names are personal information of your guests; you add them so we can produce your seating chart, and we use them only for that.
Why we use it
- Running the editor, saving your charts, producing PDFs and the Find my seat page.
- Sign-in and purchase emails; payments, refunds and tax records (via Paddle, our merchant of record).
- Understanding how the product is used and measuring our ads.
- Security, abuse prevention and error monitoring.
Sale and sharing
We do not sell personal information for money, and we never use your guests' data for advertising. We use Google advertising cookies to measure which ads bring visitors; under the CCPA this can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out on Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of consumers under 16.
How long we keep it
- Free charts are deleted automatically 30 days after they were last opened.
- Charts with an Event Pass are kept until 12 months after the event date, then deleted.
- You can delete a chart at any time with Delete chart in the editor; its guests are erased from our database immediately (backups roll over within 30 days).
- Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Who processes data for us
Hosting and database provider, Resend (email), Paddle (payments), PostHog (product analytics), Google (Analytics and Ads measurement) and Sentry (error monitoring). They act as our service providers and may process data outside your country.
Find my seat pages
If you create a Find my seat link, anyone with the link can search your guest list by name and see a guest's first name, last name and table. Notes, meals and tags are never shown. The page is hidden from search engines and has no analytics. You can stop it by deleting the chart.
Your rights
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. Email support@plotmyseats.com from the address you used with us (that is how we verify the request); an authorized agent can write on your behalf with your signed permission. We answer within 45 days and will not treat you differently for using these rights. Guests listed in a chart can contact the person who made it or write to us.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie (needed to keep you signed in) and local storage to remember the charts on your device, plus analytics and advertising cookies as described above. Visitors from the EU and the UK are asked first: there, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them, and you can withdraw consent at any time. For those visitors the GDPR applies, and you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The service is for adults. When you add children to a guest list, enter no more than is needed for seating (a name and the "child" mark is enough).
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above.
